There are 3 curriculum components that are necessary to meet demands of a modern, globalised world. These components are:

  • The processes of physical, personal and social development and growth
  • The branches of learning reflected in the traditional disciplines
  • The interdisciplinary capacities needed for effective functioning within and beyond school

Physical, Personal and Social Learning

Knowledge, skills and behaviors in Health and Physical Education; Personal Learning; Interpersonal Development; Civics and Citizenship

Discipline-based Learning

Knowledge, skills and behaviors in The Arts; English and Languages Other than English; The Humanities; Mathematics; Science

Interdisciplinary Learning

Knowledge, skills and behaviors in Communication; Design, Creativity and Technology; Information and Communications Technology; Thinking
